Systems people were using on the day

A national conference registering and checking in delegates live, vehicles tracked in real time for the parents waiting on them, operations platforms running across three surfaces at once — and the sites and content systems behind smaller teams. Each entry says what the problem was and what it took.

  1. SODVELONCON 2024

The 18th National Conference of the Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal — Hotel Barahi, Pokhara.

    April 2024

    Client
    SODVELON
    Surfaces
    • Web platform
    • Mobile app
    • Backend
    • UI/UX and graphics
    • On-site IT

A two-day national conference where registration, payment and attendance all had to work at once, in front of the delegates. Registration alone spanned nine delegate categories across three pricing tiers in two currencies, and once the doors opened the organisers needed to know who was in which hall, live, without a queue forming at any of them.

    What we built

    • Registration across nine delegate categories, three pricing tiers and two currencies
    • Online payment, reconciled against registrations
    • QR-based check-in, issued per delegate
    • Live hall-by-hall attendance — who entered and left which session, as it happened
    • Auto-scaling ahead of the registration deadline and the opening morning
    • The on-site IT operation for both days

    2024

    Sector
    Education
    Surfaces
    • Web platform
    • Mobile app
    • Backend

Parents wanting to know where a school bus actually is, and schools wanting to answer that without a phone call. Live vehicle positions, route adherence and arrival alerts, on a platform built from the start to be handed over — which it was, into the client’s own repositories.

    What we built

    • Live vehicle tracking and route adherence
    • Arrival and departure alerts to parents
    • Administration for schools, routes and vehicles
    • A clean handover into the client’s own repositories
  3. A three-surface operations platform

    2023 – 2025

    Sector
    Field operations
    Surfaces
    • Web platform
    • Mobile app
    • Notification service

A web platform, a mobile application and a dedicated notification service, built as one system and kept running through fifteen months of continuous delivery. Three surfaces, one set of contracts, and a release cadence that never stopped to let the others catch up.

    What we built

    • Web platform and administration
    • Mobile application
    • A dedicated notification service
    • Fifteen months of continuous delivery and maintenance

Sites and content systems

Built, handed over, still running

Smaller engagements, listed rather than written up — the shape of these is well understood and a case study would be padding.
